Throughout the day of the festival, there will be an industry expo held in the David Lean Room. With a host of exhibitors from different organisations, you’ll have the chance to ask those all important questions to help you get ahead in your film making career.
You can buy a day pass which will give you access to the Expo and ALL screenings, seminars and workshops, or you can buy a single event ticket to a screening + seminar or a workshop and get access to the Expo.

The Evening Gala will showcase the four finalists and award the Best of the Fest, Audience Choice and Best Non-Scripted awards. The evening will begin with a drinks reception in the David Lean Room, before moving into the Princess Anne Theatre for the film screenings and presentation.

We talk to providers of training opportunities for entry level talent in the film industry. With information on what’s involved, how to apply and the careers this type of training can lead to, catch this panel for essential info on starting your film career journey.

Self Shooting | A Hands on Camera Workshop with Paul McCallum

After years of making his own films in Dundee, Paul moved to London in 2013 and got a job running at a Spark Media Partners, a TV development company. He has since worked his way up to Assistant Producer and has worked on shows for C4 and Watch, including ‘Battlechefs’ and ‘Escape To The Chateau’. In 2016 he also shot on ‘Iron Men’, an obs doc film about West Ham United moving to the Olympic Stadium. Paul’s preferred cameras are Sony FS7 and Canon C300.

With a practical, hands on focus on the type of cameras and equipment used for these roles, Paul will explain how to get into and move on up in the world of factual telly.
